You’re right in the middle of the week, 3 days down, 2 to go. All of the running around is taking its toll and it’s right around that time when everyone’s freaking out at work too, right? Clearly it’s time for a Spa Break!
Start your escape off right. Here are five easy ways to change 1-hour per week into the spa pampering time and attention that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and leave your coworkers wondering about the secret goddess getaway you obviously had ;-)
#1 - Do Not Disturb
This is a time set aside for you to reclaim some mental space and achieve real relaxation, so disruptions are not on the menu.
Let those around you know, during this time (kids, husbands and lovers are not allowed) you are in the zone and not to worry, you'll be back soon.
#2 - Set the Mood
Remember, the mood is for relaxation and peace. So dim the lights and light a few candles of the softly aromatic sort.
Bring out the tranquil music, perhaps some sultry tunes from the lovely Jill Scott or Erykah Badu or any soothing music you desire.
#3 - Run A Hot Relaxing Bath
Let the calming properties of the warm water soothe your body. Sink in and let your mind be at ease. A few drops of essential oils or bath soak will help to moisturize your skin as you transport yourself to a beautiful moment of peace and tranquility.
#4 - A Gentle Massage
Pay attention to those areas that can hold stress such as your neck, shoulders, and back. Gently rub these areas with a massage oil and submerge your self back into the warm water allowing it to melt the stress away.
#5 - Wrap Yourself in Love
Prepare a luxurious fluffy warm towel or bath robe for when you come out of the tub and when ready wrap yourself in that luxurious feeling of comfort and love.
